Skylight Glass Replacement in Mcalister, NM

Skylight Glass Replacement in Mcalister, NM

Skylight glass replacement in Mcalister, NM is the fix when the frame is sound but the glass has failed. Double pane skylight glass is two sheets sealed around the edge with gas between them. When that edge seal breaks, moist air gets in and you see fog or white film between the panes that no amount of cleaning removes.

Cracked glass is the other reason. Skylights use tempered or laminated glass so it does not fall into the room in big shards, but a crack still lets water in and needs replacing.

Mcalister, NM Skylight Repair checks the make and model of the skylight first. Many brands sell replacement sashes or glass units that fit the existing frame. If the manufacturer part exists, we order it and swap it without touching the flashing. If the model is discontinued, a glass shop can build a new insulated unit to size, and we install it with new glazing tape and seals.

When the frame is rotten or the flashing is also leaking, glass alone will not solve it. In that case, a full skylight replacement is the smarter spend, and we will say so.
